When life gets loud, sometimes the gentlest remedies do the deepest work. That’s where the 12 biochemic cell salts come in—tiny, mighty, mineral messengers that help your body heal from the inside out. Whether you’re new to the cell salts (aka tissue salts) or you just want a refresher, I’ve put together a quick reference chart that includes each of the 12 salts in groups of 3. This makes it easier to remember their main functions as well as their key affinities and symptoms. I hope these reminders will help you remember where they fit with your body’s needs.
Each trio contains the 3 cell salts that are natural allies, that are often needed to work together on a simple healing tasks like:
Strengthening teeth or bones in children, the elderly or menopausal women
Fighting inflammation, especially coughs, colds, fevers or flus
Calc fluor is collagen’s biochemic cousin—keeping connective tissues strong, flexible, and fabulous. It helps you stand tall, move with ease, and hold your strength and flexibility—inside and out.
Calc phos strengthens the matrix of bones and teeth, also tired minds, and those needing a pick-me-up. It helps you rebuild if you feel drained, gently restoring energy after a period of mental or physical stress.
Silica helps your body clear out the gunk from the skin or mucus membranes and glow up your nails and skin. It helps strengthen and refresh collagen in all tissues including the skin, hair, nails and glands.
Ferrum phos is the first aid cell salt, also the early bird of immune support—catch it before it catches you. It gives you a head start when something’s coming on—calming inflammation from infection or injury.
Kali mur is like a gentle plunger for your sinuses and lymph glands—let the drainage begin. It supports the flow in stuck places and clears the way for healing to move forward.
Kali sulph soothes congestion in lungs and mucus membranes and lubricates stiff joints. This salt works with Ferrum phos to oxygenate cells, soothing and smoothing throughout the body.
Kali phos is the chill pill of cell salts—perfect for overworked brains and frazzled nerves. It steadies the mind and soothes your nervous system so you can rest, think, and slee again.
Mag phos is like a gentle hug for your aches and pains from muscle tension. It relaxes cramps and alleviates acute pain from muscular tension anywhere in the body.
Nat mur is your salty soul sister—supporting hydration, and offering emotional support. This cell salt alleviates dryness whether from a cough, cold, cold sore or lack of fluids.
Nat phos is a peacekeeper for your stomach and guts, balancing and soothing where needed. It helps restores the acid/alkaline balance if things become too acidic—whatever the cause.
Nat sulph helps your body to detox through your liver and gall bladder when you are sick. It helps clear out toxins when you have been sick and is often needed at the end of an illness.
Calc sulph clears out the gunk and sealing the deal.” It supports healing by helping the body to absorb pus and mucus and clear it out via the blood.
