Q. What’s the difference between the Joints and the Scars Creams?
A. The Scars Cream is designed to act only on the skin – it does not have any ingredients for painful joints. The Joints and Muscles Cream has a number of ingredients specifically for pain and/or swelling and/or inflammation to injured or arthritic joints and also to surrounding tissues of the joint.
Q. Can I put the Joint Cream on a Scar or vice versa?
A. You can do so without causing any harm but to get specific improvements you need to use the correct cream.
Q. Have there been any reported side effects with any of your creams?
A. We have not heard of any adverse reactions to either of these creams. The bases for both are the same and include almond oil, aloe vera, vitamin E oil. The ingredients have been carefully chosen for their safety and gentleness but if you have a known allergy to any of them you should of course avoid using them. The aromatherapy oils are likewise super gentle and in small enough quantities they are unlikely to elicit an allergic response.
Q. What are the bases of your creams made from?
A. They are in a neutral aqueous base – one that is mild and water soluble. This means that they are easily absorbed by your joints and/or scars. There’s a little borax (a naturally occurring salt) to act as a preservative and a little soy based wax to emulsify them (to turn them from a liquid to a nice creamy cream).
There are no petrochemicals to clog up your pores. There’s no lanolin to cause allergic reactions or itchiness or unpleasant stickiness. There are no perfumes to cause allergies. There are no toxic ingredients including no parabens or propylene glycol to build up in your tissues or cause side effects.
Q. Why do your creams contain aromatherapy oils? I thought they antidoted homeopathy.
A. Some aromatherapy oils (eucalyptus, menthol, camphor and tea tree) are ‘medicinal’ and have a very strong odor. In large doses these can counteract the effect of a homeopathic remedy. Small doses of most aromatherapy oils are just fine. I have chosen oils that are super gentle that have been proven to soothe scars or painful joints. They are also oils that I know from personal experience work fine alongside homeopathic medicines without counteracting their healing effects. There are just a few drops in each tube so no need to worry – you can just enjoy their lovely scent and be assured they are adding to the healing qualities of the cream.
Q. Can you tell me some more about the active ingredients in your cream?
A. The ingredients have been carefully selected with many years of feedback from hundreds of patients.
- Arnica helps with swelling and bruising to joints and muscles.
- Symphytum heals injury or inflammation to the bony tissue of a joint.
- Rhus toxicodendron is the # 1 remedy for painful arthritic joints and sprains and strains of all kinds.
- Ruta heals damaged or inflamed tendons as well the tissues that cover bones.
- Thiosinaminum helps to dissolve scar tissue – a common problem in any injured or inflamed joint, preventing complete healing of the joint.
- Calcarea fluorica helps to rebuild the integrity of damaged or injured joints.
Q. Do I need to continue doing the exercises my physical therapist gave me?
A. Exercise, especially physical therapy exercises and especially exercises that involve gentle and appropriate stretching are a key component in joint rehabilitation. It is vital that you continue these. If you have not been doing any then I suggest strongly you seek the advice of a physical therapist ASAP.
Q. Can I use the Joint Cream anywhere else — like on an injured muscle?
A. You can! You can apply it to bruised or sprained muscles and even fascia with good results.
Q. How many ‘squirts’ are there in each tube?
A. There are approximately 120 full ‘squirts’ in each tube – enough for many months use.
Q. I have a very old shoulder injury with pain and stiffness. Can the Joint Cream help with that?
A. Shoulder injuries are amongst the hardest and slowest to heal. Several people have reported improvements with this kind of injury. They have all said it took several months but it was worth it as they have been able to avoid surgery.
Q. I had spinal surgery for chronic back pain but it wasn’t completely successful – can your cream help?
A. If there’s scar tissue and stiffness then my joint cream may be able to help. Some people have reported a 30% improvement in mobility and pain relief.
Q. I have a weakened hip joint from osteoarthritis. Can your cream help?
A. Many people have reported improvements in hip pain and mobility from using my cream on a regular basis. It’s definitely worth a try.
Q. Can your cream help with plantar fasciitis?
A. Several people have reported spectacular results with this horrid problem … they were also careful to follow their doctors advice regarding exercises and orthotics etc.
Q. How is your joint cream different from other homeopathic creams for injuries?
A. The homeopathic remedies in my healing creams are in the lowest of potencies. They are designed to work on a purely physical level in the gentlest of all possible ways. They should not counteract any constitutional homeopathic treatments you may be taking from your homeopathic practitioner – quite the reverse – they will work gently and persistently alongside all other healing treatments, including conventional medical treatments. Many people have found they have been able to decrease their daily dependence on painkillers or anti-inflammatories (with their doctors blessings of course).
Q. Can I expect any relief of pain with my arthritis?
A. I cannot guarantee this but so many people have experienced some degree of relief (from a little to an amazing amount) that you can definitely hope for some relief for yourself. I want to know if it isn’t helping so if it does not please let me know.
Q. Can I use the Joints Cream on a joint that has a scrape or cut on it?
A. You should not put the Joints Cream on ‘broken skin’ … on a wound that hasn’t healed over as it can cause a bit of irritation.
Q. What does it mean if your Joints Cream doesn’t help me?
A. It can mean a number of things. Here are a few common possibilities: – Your pains are secondary to another disease that needs diagnosing and treating.
- The injury was so serious you need surgery to fix something that got broken.
- Your pains are an (undiagnosed) side effect of a medication or supplement.
- You are allergic to something you are eating or drinking.
- Your pains are the result of emotional stress – sometimes our bodies speak our minds. The pains are real, but the solution is not a cream.
- Your pains are a part of a much bigger picture and until that picture is addressed your pains will not abate.
- The homeopathic solution you need is not in this cream. You should seek help from a homeopathic practitioner who can select a more specific remedy.
- Your pains need a physical solution (chiropractic or osteopathic) to ‘release’ something that got ‘stuck’.
